In 1993, Giuseppe Di Matteo was kidnapped by the Mafia in order to silence his informant father. Grassadonia and Piazza’s sumptuous film invents a classmate, Luna (Julia Jedlikowska), who imagines ghosts have taken her friend.
From there, the film evocatively blends a child’s imagination with the harsh realities of life in the real world.
