The excellent Martina Gedeck (The Lives of Others, The Baader Meinhof Complex) plays the central character in this atmospheric adaptation of Marlen Haushofer's 1963 novel. A nameless woman who has mostly lived alone in the Austrian Alps travels with friends to a hunting lodge. Soon after arriving, the friends disappear. While searching for them the woman encounters an invisible wall separating her from the rest of the world. Trapped, she turns to nature to sustain her existence.
