Argentinean writer-director-editor Juan José Campanella's multi-layered and poignant thriller features an astonishing single take tracking shot set in a football stadium - the sort of bravura filmmaking, reminiscent of 'Tell No One', that earned the Film a Foreign Language Academy Award.
'The Secret In Their Eyes' follows recently retired criminal court investigator Benjamin (Ricardo Darín) as he decides to write a novel based on an unresolved rape and murder case that still haunts him. Sharing his plans with Irene, the beautiful judge and former colleague he is secretly in love with, Benjamin sets out to identify the murderer and ends up at the centre of a judicial nightmare.
