The third part of Wenders Road Movie Trilogy (after 'Alice In the Cities' and 'Wrong Move') follows a projection repairman named Bruno Winter (Rüdiger Vogler) and a depressed hitchhiker Robert Lander (Hanns Zischler) who has just broken up with his wife. They travel along the Western side of the East-German border in a repair truck, visiting worn-out movie theatres.
Nominated for the Palme d'Or, 'Kings of the Road' was shot in black-and-white by long-time Wenders collaborator Robby Müller, know for his work on classics such as 'Paris, Texas' Von Trier's 'Breaking The Waves', and some of Jim Jarmusch's best known films.
