The directorial debut of Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman (Capote), who plays Jack, a solitary limo driver who is convinced by his friends Clyde and Lucy to go on a blind date with Connie (Amy Ryan). But just as his life begins anew, cracks begin to appear in his friends' marriage. Hoffman directs with subtlety, drawing out the pathos and humour of the story with skill and eliciting excellent performances from his cast.
