Nominated for the Best Documentary BAFTA in 2015, Finding Vivian Maier tells the story of a mysterious nanny, who took over 100,000 photographs that were stored in lockers and discovered decades later. Now considered among the 20th century's greatest photographers, Maier's life and art are revealed through previously unseen photographs, films and interviews with dozens who thought they knew her.
John Maloof has spent years reconstructing the archive of Maier's work and his film (co-directed with Charlie Siskel) is a beautiful homage to a gifted artist.
