Adèle Exarchopoulos and Léa Seydoux (in a breakthrough role for the actor who starred opposite Daniel Craig in 'Spectre') brilliantly convey the power of physical, emotional and sexual attraction in this Palme d'Or-winning adaptation of Julie Maroh’s graphic novel.
Director Abdellatif Kechiche ('Couscous') also explores the problems of sustaining a relationship when passion gives way to domestication. Detailing every nuance of the shift from impetuous lovers through to a couple who share the same living space, the film speaks universally and with passion about the nature of human relationships.
